Why don't we share Japanese Zoo Animal Populations?

I started this thread in the hope of sharing with zoo chatters about the status of animals in zoos in Japan. Please feel free to ask questions about the status of animals kept in Japanese zoos.
In anticipation of what kind of questions I might receive, I will compile in advance the population of some species in Japanese zoos.
I am not good at English, so I apologize if my sentences are wrong!

Are there still any warthogs and striped hyenas in Japan?

 

Since the death of the Asahiyama Zoo individual, the only warthogs living in Japan are a pair in Fuji Safari Park.
However, due to the preventive measures against CSF , the warthogs area has been closed to the public since last fall.
That is why, there is currently no zoo where you can see warthogs in Japan!
The striped hyenas living in Japan have one old female in Hamura City Zoo and five young individuals in Fuji Safari Park. The safari park does not disclose individual information, so I do not know the number of them by gender.

 

Are these actual chinese red pandas Ailurus styani?

What do you mean by Ceylon? African?

Impressive number of females in my opinion for such a 'rare' zoo animal

 

I did not recall Ceylon being associated with Sri Lanka and since african was the only one left I thought of it

 

Koalas are very popular in Japan because of cartoons that were made about them there in the 1980s, so it makes some sense to maintain a relatively large number of koalas there so that they can remain a drawcard.

 

Apparently so.
However, I suspect that the Chinese red panda in the Japanese zoo is a crossbreed with the Himalayan red panda.
Or maybe it's just a Chinese red panda with a whitish forehead...

 

That's a shame for an animal that is rare outside its natural range...

Are these only JAZA populations on your list because I thought there were three holders of wooly monkey in Japan (Zoorasia, JMC, and Nasu World Monkey Park beinfg the unaccreditted one for obvious reasons).

 

Individuals from Nasu World Monkey Park are not included because it cannot be confirmed that they are Lagothrix lagothricha cana.
