Following from Nisha's post and the ongoing breeding success of the Giraffe herd at Woburn I have been doing some research into how many calves have been born from the two maternal lines. I have attached a document which shows my findings but there are some gaps. I would appreciate any help any zoochatters can provide. Some of the information has been worked out by process of elimination so may not be entirely correct. There is also a list of names in the document where I am unsure as to who their mothers were so have been unable to include them in the trees.

I have tried to keep the information brief and simple as to provide an overview of the breeding success at Woburn. Any help in developing the document would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Just to start off with, Well Done for all your hard work ( you`ve answered a fair few of my questions)
Jake (DOB 2009 Danika x ?) has unfortunately passed away this year at CWP (Cotswolds)

The 3 females born in 2011 are Lunar, Lehanna & Lyndsey although i`m not sure to whom they born to. Lunar & Lehanna are currently the breeding females at Port Lympne

Mortimer & Mhari i think were born to Savannah & Danika although I could be wrong. Majesty was born to Acacia, I remember reading an article with it being related to the Queen`s Jubilee

I did some similar research back in 2014 and can fill in a few gaps:

    Danica's 2011 calf was Lindsay

In 2010 another male calf was born (unsure of his mother. Might be Acacia?) His name was Kito. He was moved to Chessington in early 2013. I believe he is still there

Have you considered emailing Woburn with your questions? They're more likely to answer one email with lots of questions than 5+ with one question in each

    Good luck :)

You could technically count female Ruby as well (Irsuala X Casper) who was born at Marwell in January 2012 but conceived before Irsuala left Woburn in 2011

    Jake (B2009) was Freya's calf. Not Danica's

Thank you both for your input. I see I've had you really looking into it.
I did think there was one too many J's. I will update the list tomorrow.

@Embu I was watching Safari Park Adventure the series filmed at Woburn Safari Park. On one episode it showed the relocation of Jake and Icerous to Cotsworld Wildlife Park. Obviously Jake passed in 2017 but is Icerous still alive? I found it hilarious watching the two Boys attempting to have intercourse with their Dad Casper LOL!!

What happend to Nila, Prudence and Quinn?
Are the last offsprings still there Sophie, Sandy and Scout (Scouts mother?)?

    @Embu

you forget Mortimer and Mhari born 2012 move to Safari Sevilla Castillo de las Guardas 2014.
and Alexander born 2013 also Orbit born 2014 both move 2017 to Knowsley.

The other i have mentioned Majestic lost track 2012
    Keira lost track 2014
    Nila lost track 2016
    Prudence lost track 2015
Quinn, Sophie, Sandy and Scout not sure if they still there
ZIMS Species holding report end of the year still 1.11
Oscar, Savannah, Danica, Frankie, Freya, Kimmie, Lindsay, Maya, Nakuru, so if Quinn, Sophie and Sandy still there could be correct only Scout would be miss.

I didn't know Mortimer & Mahari had moved. The 1:0 on your list would be Casper not Oscar possibly. Keira,Nila& Prudence may well have died?

Is Savannah still living? She was born in 1998 I think
