I saw a recent news article saying they were going to leave during August, but they are still there at the moment just with the show boarded up/closed. I presume this is now for renovation reasons not for exhibit closure??? ..the Woburn sea lion situation seems as clear as mud!

They are staying. They have at some cost just invested in a new biological water system. They are in the outside pool. Not sure what they plan for the inside venue.

Ah that is good news. Thanks for the info. I've only visited woburn once a very long time ago and missed the sea lions so was hoping to get back there one day to see them. :) (Ok, so I am kind of biased) but I think this was a good decision because they are very much a crowd pleaser species.

Do you know why they decided against moving them? Was it problems with their destination or a management change of heart?

Does anyone know when their exhibit and show will be back to normal?

Not sure as I haven't been to Woburn for sometime.
