I see there are some hornbill fans on this forum here?

The 3 latest Wrinkled Hornbill or Sunda Wrinkled Hornbill (Aceros corrugatus) that have been born in Planckendael are now out of there nest. As an reaction on that, the female has get back in here nest now.

The 3 are now the second succesfull nest of Planckendael for these birds. (3th in total, the first didn"t worked out). Now the birds are busy with there 4th nest, and the young birds will be taken away soon. This is a percussion for the young birds against the very aggressive male (when his female is in the nest, he doesn"t alow other birds in the area...)

Since the first succesfull nest this is the scenario. The female almost goes immideatly back into the nest after the youngsters are outside. ;) :D

The birds of the previous nest aren"t in the cage with the parents anymore.
I haven't found them for over a month now... :(

Perhaps the male was already to aggressive, like with the previous ones...
