    • If you don't want to have kids because you've had to endure some 5-year old ruining your serenity in the reptile house by banging on the glass
    • If you have to lecture your younger siblings/children on how they need to stop being rowdy on the tour bus so everyone can enjoy it in peace
    • If your're more interested at seeing an antelope grazing around in a field then watch a theatre display

Yes I agree, but I was talking about animals that have little conservation value (white tigers etc.)...

I think he meant non-subspecific giraffes.

You look at videos and pictures in zoos and try to figure out where it was taken.

I was at a meeting today. One person said, "No news is good news."

I said, "Unless you like wildebeeste."

The other people were not Zoochatters.

When you are observing and photographing animals at the zoo and forget the time just to discover the zoo has closed at the time you are finished and the exit-gates are already closed - this happened to me last week at Rotterdam Zoo ( a friendly watchman opened the gate for me so I was able to go home :) ).

When you have just removed two old acquitances as Facebook friends for sharing or liking an anti-zoo cartoon referencing the coronavirus lockdown.

It happened to me at Crocodiles Of The World, I was so busy photographing the Crocs, I didn't realize I was the only one left in the zoo and the head keeper was following me around waiting to lock up. After I left, I sat in my car (in the carpark) looking through the photos, when a zoo employee knocked on the window and said that they're locking the gate. o_O

All your arguements are against 'What would you feel like if you were locked in a cage?'

If it really irritates you that when researching Charles Darwin quotations on Google the algorithm recommends several links to creationist/intelligent design/anti-evolution books.

You belong on zoochat if you are subscribed to PETA on YouTube just so you can laugh at the hypocrisy of some of their videos

You belong on zoochat if you had your mate get quite irritated with you for spending 20 minutes watching a pair of Malayan Tapirs sleeping. You also particularly belong on zoochat if you were 12 years old at the time.

*Edit* while writing this post it kept trying to autocorrect the word ‘tapirs’ to ‘Tapirus’ as a result of me writing out Tapirus indicus so often.
