    Very strange that you believe that (regarding lions / tigers / big cats) IMO.

    I totally (but respectfully) disagree with you on that one.

    No problem. I like people sometimes even more when they to not share my view/opinion but can argue in a convinced and respectful way (Would be interesting to discuss with you 1:1 about that when you're in Switzerland again).

    But let's go back to the topic:

    You belong to zoochat when you think which of your exotic plants in your appartement or garden could be put in an animal exhibit.

    - You agree to go to the golf course with your dad, not to play golf, but to go birdwatching by the course’s pond.

    - You zone out while watching birds soar in the sky, even while you’re having a conversation with somebody.

    - You get triggered when people call any primate a monkey, a tortoise a turtle, or any bird that is either pink or has long legs a flamingo.

    - You read animal encyclopedias and articles about animals and zoos on Wikipedia for fun.

    - When it comes to animals, you are very observant, and notice animals wherever you go. Whether it’s spotting a hawk perched on a telephone pole in the distance, seeing a squirrel 50 feet away from a moving car, or noticing a mosquito biting you.

    - You want to identify an animal from a picture you took, but lack the knowledge or required amount of brain cells to do it, so you need a expert or professional on animals to help you out.

    - You love to talk about animals to your friends and family, but you always feel like you need to dumb it down to them about what you’re saying.

    ...you can identify a Sun Bear but not a German Shepard.

    You might belong in ZooChat if:
    -you follow at least one zoo page (official or unofficial) on any social media website/app;
    -you cringe/get annoyed when someone calls antelope "deer";
    -when you stop anywhere during a road trip (no matter the purpose, if it's to eat or to sleep) you stay aware to any animal species that could appear;
    -you don't like that much what sanctuaries are doing to animals, like most normal people would, because you know they are not that great.

    You associate Cuba with solendons and hutias
    You associate New Caledonia with kagus
    When you hear the name of the UK Housing Secretary, Robert Jenrick, you think of a gerenuk

    You might belong on zoochat if you watch the Joe Lycett episode of Travel Man just because it includes a very brief segment on ARTIS

    Season 5, episode 3, with Joe Lycett
    It included a brief look at a couple of the other exhibits but focused mostly on Micropia

    I suppose the Micropia exhibits only had small, squirm-on parts in the programme.

    The segment lasted only about 5 minutes and focused primarily on tardigrades, but to be fair it is a half an hour programme that aims to include as much as possible. Plus Richard Ayoade is always a win

    When you get pretty irritated catching some fragments of some stupid movie portraying zoo workers in a very negative way, as well as depicting the biology of gentoo penguins totally incorrectly, showing nesting in a colony on ice and not on rocks as it should be.

    (The movie was Mr Popper's Penguin. Absolutely do not recommend.)

    When you get excited that the new season of The Zoo (previously titled The Bronx Zoo, guess what it’s about!) on animal planet has a section on the Roti Island Snake-Necked Turtle

    When you spend several minutes watching some small obscure animal that most zoo guests just glance at for a couple of seconds before moving on
