In my experience of eating (considerable!) I think most food if fresh, cooked well and seasoned properly will taste really good. I am a big fan of when travelling/on holiday/vacations, to sample the local food and drink when you can. When seafood is fresh, its hard to beat for me with a glass or two of cold dry white wine. And a cheese sandwich is always good!
I prefer milk and dark chocolate, I don't like white chocolate, in my opinion it doesn't taste much like chocolate, but that's just my opinion It looks like you are a healthy eater
I do really enjoy food and the culture behind it and consider myself a average foodie Whenever I visit a restaurant or a new place or anything, I need to try something new. I rarely ever order something twice. To me food is always about new experiences and trying new things out! Among my favorites definitely are sushi, curry (all sorts), udon dishes, burgers (comfort food...), Dragonfruits and I like anything with a flame to it. Though I have to admit that my SHU tolerance is now that high (yet, I aim to tackle this one day). I recently bought a ramen noodles that has a SHU of 8,706.. Hope these will do well... Also a great lover of dark chocolate (usually between 87 and 95% pure dark) Won't say no to a good smoothie either, especially iced ones. Now my food habits and adventures are still rather limited due to that I live at home where trying out new foods is not really a common thing. So I have to do with trying all sorts of foods at take-outs or through friends. Most exotic I've had probably was wallaby steak at a restaurant here. Incredibly juicy and tender. Literally will melt in your mouth. Recommend it to anyone who can get hold of it to try it out. Another one is guineafowl, not perse that exotic, but a funny one given I actually managed to take this as my meal choice while I was in the hospital. One day I definitely want to travel a lot through the world to explore the food cultures around the globe, and maybe learn a thing or two about the way to cook with such foods. Oh and at last, I really don't like most of the Dutch cuisine.. It's just so bland and boring...
Not gonna lie people are prolly gonna find that my topping for steak is weird… I drizzle honey on steak. But it’s actually a fantastic combination. I was skeptical at first but now… I love it. And it’s gotta be rare or medium rare for me personally.
For me it is curry (I like Japanese the best), lasagna, and fried chicken. I am also a sucker for street food such as takoyaki , hot dogs, stuffed mussels, kokoretsi, and soft serve ice cream. For drinks there is water, club soda, milkshake (strawberry and vanilla), and tea Eh it ain't that weird, I had a habbit of shaking cinnamon on lamb chops.
Bringing back this thread, nothing beats Nasi Goreng (fried rice) here. Every bite of it is just heavenly.
As Burns night approaches (25th Jan) ...... or forget Burns night if you wish Haggis is one of the finest gastronomical developments ever developed, pure beauty made out of the finest ingredients. A Luxury of the Scottish first, secondly a British feat of culinary masterclass.
I like to drink more than to eat , I adore drinking water , tea and energy it happens when working at a PC , I only smoke and drink all day and eat before going to bed , but my favorite food is fried potatoes with bacon
Nothing beats a bowl of cream-of-mushroom soup on a cold day with a side of sourdough bread, it's a shame that I now live in a tropical country where the air is always going to be hot. As a fellow Indonesian, I agree. I'm particularly fond of ones that use salty soy sauce as a base (as opposed to sweet/kecap manis).
Definitely any fresh seafood, but I also really enjoy cooking some eggs, you just can make a lot of stuffs with it.
My favorite foods are. Spaghetti (I am quite a professional at making it) Quesadillas Orange and sesame chicken Burgers (again, also a professional at making them) Chicken sandwiches with barbecue sauce Pizza
My Favorite Foods are: Kimchi(Anything spicy, really) Dumplings Shushi Caviar(So sorry, critically endangered beluga sturgeons)
Pizza, red wine, lasagne, pasta esp alfredo, pizza, beer, pizza, more pasta, white wine, olives, pasta, retsina, calamari, lasagne. Ad nauseam. And best of all, pizza in Italy which is nothing like American pizza and even more delicious, with red wine of course. Preferably in southeast Italy away from the tourists. Bliss
