I searched for a forum already on this, but was surprised to not be able to find one.

This thread simply asks, what hobbies do you enjoy that are not zoo or animals related.

For me, I love solving Rubik cubes. In fact, as soon as I post this I will start solving my 2x2, 3x3, 5,5, and 7x7 rubies cubes which I have already mixed up.

Other than that basketball and the NBA take up a lot of my free time.

I read a lot. Otherwise, I keep birds, I birdwatch, I go to zoos. Non-animal related? Does not compute......

He's just asking what some of your hobbies that don't have to do with animals or zoos are. I like art and baking.

Art is my day job, but I enjoy it enough to do it for fun as well. Animals are often the subject though, and I've been drawing them (along with non-human fantasy creatures) regularly far longer than humans :p

I also like to write, read, and am still a video game nut. I dabbled in knitting a while back but it didn't last long. Maybe I'll revisit it.

Definitely do a lot of plant related activities. Visit botanic gardens, tend my collection of houseplants, propagate multiple kinds of begonias, and study plant identification/landscape design (wishing I had a backyard at the moment). Also cooking is a big hobby. Studying foods of different cultures and trying out new recipes each week. Cook mostly from scratch to. Also enjoy art museums and art shows pretty often.

My non animal-related hobbies are the plant-related hobbies :p I grow plants in a garden, being interested in particular, more interesting or rare species, I have many plant books together with my animal books, and I visit botanical gardens and take photos of species not photographed before by me.

I'm a bit of a history nerd. I love reading and watching documentaries about places and people in the past; my favorite places, people, and time periods to learn about and my personal specialties are the last emperor of China, Tsarist Russia, Mao's China, Khomeini's Iran, and Hirohito's Japan.

I don't have any hobbies not directly animal related except for gardening, I like living things, and that's really the extent of all my interests.
