    Thanks

I currently use a canon 40D and most of the pics were taken with my 70-300 lens

You will need to look at the sets of images for the zoo photos because I also photograph wildlife and museums. I've photographed and video recorded all the zoos in Ohio, Florida and several zoos in between.

Here's a link to my new photo gallery, showing 600 photos from more than 150 different zoos. The first part, "Ambiances", is dedicated to environment photos, the second one "Installations" is devoted to the exhibit photos and the third one, "Animaux" has the animal pictures. Enjoy ;)

Thank you for letting us see these. Like Adrian, I enjoyed all the galleries I opened. I loved the Bulwer's wattled pheasant (RooieHoeve2011) and the elephant shrews at Rotterdam, as I have never seen either species.

My collection of zoo photo's I collected over the years (2005-now)
Includes mostly European but also some Asian and Australian zoos.
Not as impressive as many of your photo sites, but the photo's of my most recent visit, the Dusit Zoo in Bangkok, might be interesting to view.

I have just posted my first photo blog - about shooting a black-necked grebe. I aim to post about wildlife and zoo photography once or twice a month and I hope this will be of some interest and that it will help me to improve the standard of my work.

Great photos and a well-written post. Is it complete, or will there be another related post? Why I ask, is that I was just getting into the story about the lens etc, and the post felt like it ended abrubtly without an 'outro'.

Thank you. I intended to do a post in two halves, but by 1am I had enough. The second part of 'Fun with Grebes' is almost ready now - I will post it later today. Who said 'leave them wanting more'? ;)

Maybe end it with "to be continued" or something? :)

I look forward to part two.
