I used to collect Yowies when they were out in England and recently I got hold of some Austrailian Yowies. Do they still make then over there?

I thought Yowies were mythical like drop bears. I have no idea what you are talking about.

Yowies were a chocolate range, like Kinder suprise, brought out by Cadbury I think. Inside the chocolate shell were a small plastic animal that you would put together. There were at least eight series with about 30 different animals brought out including three series based on prehistoric Australian animals. Several series gave a comprehensive range of Australian animals. There walso a little fact sheet with each animal. The whole idea was quite good as many animals not well known to the public got their little bit of pub licity.

my old housemates, girlfriend and i used to buy them, particuary the prehistoric ones, from our local supermarket whenever we visited and put them along a network of windowsills in our lounge. we ended up with an aweful lot. it was just sort of a tradition....
