We saw Dayo peaking his head out a few weeks ago, but it is very hit and miss still as they are both still nervous of their surroundings. Unfortunately it is just pot luck!!

I stopped by for my visit earlier today. Sadly, but unsurprisingly, I didn't see either of the rhinos, but their enclosure looks excellent. As does the mixed savannah area. And the third polar bear enclosure seems to be coming along nicely. I also managed to see the hunting dog pups! I think I saw 7, but they were all very active and close together, so I'm not sure how accurate that number is.
Had a flying visit this afternoon, my 2nd and 18 months since the last. Saw one rhino outside on the grass for a minute or so, before he noticed the 3 visitors watching him and promptly disappeared back inside! Saw all 7 hunting dog pups just before closing which was main highlight along with the 4 polar bears of course! Also saw an anteater outside for some time around 3.30. Rhino development looks fairly good, not happy about the back 2 leopard enclosures now being virtually offshow due to the giraffe walkway from their paddock to the new into Africa one! Row of aviaries now completely empty, skunk still signed at the end but didn't see it. Overall though, this zoo is going places
