Hi All , does anyone have any details regarding Zagreb Zoos Polar Bears? Am I correct in saying they dont have any now?? They had a pair from Chessington Zoo back in 1991 and I believe the male died but have no details on the females fate. Any thoughts or further info?? Thanks , Zupu.

@Zupu: I was at the Zagreb Zoo in the summer of 2005, and I had not seen Polar bears in this zoo. They exhibited three bear species (Brown bears, American black bears and Sunbears) in oldfashioned grotto exhibits at that time ...

Thank you for that Orycteropus , very interesting. According to the most recent Polar Bear Studbook Zagreb no longer have any polars but I wanted to be sure. It is very likely that both Polars from Chessington died there , certainly the male did. Regards , Zupu.

The male Clade and the female Bonni died in 1999 in Zagreb. Bonni arrived at 31.03.1993 and Clyde at 30.05.1993 at Zagreb.
