Zoo animal transports

    In the past large numbers of wild caught animals were brought to the western world and came in this way avaible for zoos. In some cases it were the zoos themselfs which send-out collecting-expeditions.
    In this thread we can place information about such transports / expeditions.
    To start with I found a nice video about 2 large animal-shipments arriving in Genoa ( Italy ) and Antwerp ( Belgium ) :

    I unironically wish that I live in the generation which his happened. I really would have enjoyed collecting specimens for the zoological sciences and trade.
