I remember an article some time ago tjat mentioned that berlin planned to import new species or specimen from la amd san diego along that article were images for new exhibits from the tierpark it was not mentioned where eacj species d go but i do remember they mentioned new gerenuk and i am pretty sure even pronghorn and think like two or more other species i do not remember if one of these were tapir but the image from the planned rainforest house at the tierpark looked a lot like the central american species and linked to thr two institutions i read that like some of u seem to hope wuppertal once wanted to import new blood too but both refenrences r bit older and given the american population is not that big i am a bit cautious also do not la and sam diego got only the peninsluar subspecies of pronghorn
I believe Baird's tapir are phase out species in Europe. Europe handles Lowland tapir, NA handles Baird's. Pronghorn would be great, although sending them to Europe doesn't make much sense in my opinion as the work done in-situ is great. If I was to chose a single species from SDZ to come to Europe, it would be Speke's gazelles.
