Congrats to you for all the hard work put in and now a first baby. Be nice if more European zoos restart with this fine primate species.
Another great news – We brought to Chleby one male and two females of langur douc two years ago. While the first female had a baby in June, the second one gave birth this weekend! Both babies are boys and they prosper very well
New lion exhibit will be opened next year, zoo will get two young males from Plzen. Part of it will be an exhibit for some mongoose species, who will be able to go to the lion exhibit as well.
Well I imagine ideally they want to keep expanding the group, and eventually more zoos will copy their husbandry techniques to create a sustainable european population.
San Deigo zoo use to have a nice breeding group but I believe they had problems trying to import new bloodlines I hope that is not going to happen with this group!

Video from Zoo Chleby facebook with works on lion exhibit: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=691087451658002 it could be finished this year. according to comments next should be new exposition for porcupine and then maaaybe giraffes EDIT: forgot new (or reconstructed?) stables for domestic animals, which should come first
The exhibit is now finished (looks absolutely horrible) and first inhabitant is young male from Plzen. The exhibit will be officially opened at the end of September. They are now also apparently trying to get a female.
Some young red-shanked doucs are leaving the zoo soon. It is not said where they are going. Log into Facebook
