Paris Zoo has taken in a group of Cedar Waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum): custom seizures, believed to be wild-caught in Mexico. They are the only members of this species currently in a European zoo.
But probably never on show, they received more (for us) rare bird species over the years, but these always remained off-show.....
On show or not, they need to be bred, would be worth trying to establish them in European aviculture.
The zoos been evacuated after their baboons escaped: Paris zoo evacuated after 52 baboons escape enclosure Paris zoo shut after 50 baboons escape
Have they all been rounded up? Also, can someone edit the Wikipedia page? Paris Zoological Park - Wikipedia
