At 37, Frala is coming to the end of her reproductive years; however, the fact she gave birth recently (2015) will hopefully give her an advantage to conceiving. Gorillas her age, who have struggled to conceive are usually those who haven't bred in years/have been on contraceptives.

Do you mean Mbeli (Mjukuu's mother)? She last gave birth late 2017 so I'd say the earliest we'd see another infant from her would be 2020. That could tie in well though if Frala gives birth in 2019 (only a year between them).

    Kirra
    Female Dingo
    Died aged 12

Kirra arrived to us from a private facility in Sydney in the year 2017 aged 4 years old. She lived her alongside a female companion, Jarrah for 3 years up until Jarrah’s death. After Jarrah’s death it was decided to retire Kirra into our animal ambassadors program whilst the zoo imported a young breeding pair. When Kirra was 9, they younger dingo pair had their first child together. It was a male who the zoo named Makani. Makani was rejected by his mother 2 months after his birth. Luckily, Kirra adopted him and the pair soon became very close. Just days after Kirra celebrated her 12th birthday, tradgedy struck. Whilst walking through an automatic gate; the gate closed on her crushing her skull. Kirra was remebered as an caring and respecting individual who was a great animal ambassador. She was sorely missed by most and when Makani was put into breeding (soon after Kirra’s death); his first ever child was named Kirrana in honour of Kirra.

    Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I’m stoked ‘Zoo Decisions’ has come second in the ‘Thread of the Year Competition’!

Agent 20 will be presenting us with our silver medal shortly in an elaborate award ceremony. The medal itself is shiny asf so to avoid being blinded by its brilliance; please avert your eyes while she holds it up to the sun for the benefit of the world’s media (which have camped overnight to cover the event).

We will then cross live for my acceptance speech:

Thread of the Year 2018: The Vote (Post #21)

‘Zoo Decisions 2’ is gonna be lit! Can’t wait to work with all the people that made ‘Zoo Decisions’ amazing; as well as lots of new people! Welcome to @Hipporex and @FoxesAndFlowers!

We’ll kick ‘Zoo Decisions 2’ off with an origin thread to establish how we want to run things; what species (if any) our zoo should start with; and even what time period it will be set in.
