Some other info says that they find the margay a few hours later near the park in the wild. I don't now if this is true or not and if they catch it.

From Zoonaute: A happy ending :)

Less than 24 hours after the disappearance of a female tiger cat, employees in the field of the Fauves Fitilieu found him in a grove of bamboo, two steps from its box. Obviously, the criminals were unable to catch the nocturnal feline in middle of the night.

The park received a female geoffroy's cat, a female jaguarundi and a male ocelot (the father of the two kittens born last august died at the age of 26 !). There are now breeding pair for the three species.

    LOL !

It really doesn't suprise that they were unable to catch it , when they are cornered or feel threatened they are formidable little felines and it must have put up quite a fight against the would be thieves trying to handle it.

I've seen these animals react to the presence / smell of vets and while they are hardly Bengal tigers it is quite an intimidating sight despite the relatively small size.

A Geoffroy's cat (female named Lima) was born in May and a meerkat in July.

I have a lot of photos of this little zoo with a large amount of cats and owls (almost 20 species of each!)
including several unusual animals. Can we create an album in the gallery ?

It would be a pleasure to see photos of this zoo but you must ask a new gallery there : New Gallery Request Thread 2021 [New]

New arrival at the zoo : a male jungle cat born in march 2021 in Netherlands arrived at the beginning of november. He will form a breeding pair with the resident female arrived in 2020.

New website, with the new flyer and the new zoomap for 2022 : Bienvenue - Le Domaine des Fauves
    - Announcement of a new exhibit for Cougars (already in the park for several years, in a small and old enclosure) .
    - According to the map, the Cheetah's exhibit has been enlarged on the african wild dog's exhibit (which have left the park).
    - Finally, the jungle cats are moved to one of the old cougar exhibit (near the lions).
It is a very good thing that the park expands exhibits for large animals, because the small cats and the birds have very correct enclosures. Those of the big cats lack a bit of space. "Fewer species for more space" seems to be a new motivation for the park !
For having visited it and spoken with the staff, this park may surprise us in the next few years...

I visited yesterday and while I was impressed with the collection (between them and Hamerton which I also visited this year they must have some of the biggest collections of predators that are normally uncommon in zoos in Europe, especially the cats, and the Dingo at Hamerton, wolves here, and others like Tayra), first impressions were not great if as the Capuchins, while nice to see in a zoo usually focused on predators, were quite concerning. Can anyone explain their situation?

You are right the capuchins are the last monkeys and are in an old and ugly exhibit. Before there were a lot of monkeys around this building (mandrill, squirrel monkey, bear macaque, lemurs and chimpanzees ! ). Capuchins are the next to go in other park and the building is going to be demolished. A few years ago, there were fallow deer, parrots, porcupines, capybaras, emus but they have all been replaced by predators. Capuchins are next with the zebu and the llama. Many new exhibit are in project for new species and for actually (lions, leopard).

That's nice to hear, although its sad to see the Capuchins and Zebu leave, it will be good for the zoo to focus on their speciality, and I got some good photos of the Pumas in their great new enclosure, and I'm sure the enclosures will only get better.

The park received at least one (more ?) Gordon's wild cat (new species). It is the second holder for France with Parc des Félins.
