Ananda and Yoe Ma, the two twelve years old bull elephants kept in Maubeuge will go in the next months to La Tannière in a more suitable exhibit. They will join Rajendra, a nine years old bull elephant from Kolner Zoo. Maubeuge will receive two new younger bulls in the future.
2 Sumatran tigresses recently arrived from Burgers Zoo. They are named Tess and Nonja and were born there.

Some interesting news from Maubeuge : - a new canid species will arrive later this year (the species has not been choosen for the moment). - a group of six ring-tailed lemurs will arrive and be housed in part of the giraffe house. It's a come back for this species. - the zoo is preparing Ananda, male asian elephant for a departure at the end of the end. The future location was not specified but they hope a breeding facility for him. His half-brother, Yoe Ma, may leave too. - the giraffe house which burned don in 2005 get some refurbishments and a medical training wall. - a new veterinary clinic and quarantine area will be build in the late weeks.

Aujourd'hui, nous lui souhaitons également un joyeux anniversaire pour ses 10 ans. Notre mâle Yoema est également ravi d'accueillir son nouveau compagnon de jeu qui a partagé son gâteau d'anniversaire avec lui."
