It has been a long time in coming, but the Suzhou Zoo has finally written itself in the history books with its Chinese alligators! Now I admit it is a bit older and the 6 hatchlings emerged in August 2013, but I still found it noteworthy to be posted here! The parents - apparently - were imported in the early 1980's and had only started mating/egg-laying in July 2012. So, there is still some hope for any "older" Chinese alligators in other collections!!! Here is the link: Chinese alligator born in Suzhou Enjoy the read!
