So, I just discovered an independent documentary film that aims to educate people about the past, present and future of North American zoos. It hasn't been completed yet, as the filmmakers are still looking for donations, but I can't wait for the finished film to see the light of day. I think this will be the perfect opportunity to help people more clearly understand the purpose of modern zoos and how they're part of the solution, not part of the problem, to the modern day extinction crisis. This website gives more info on the film and a link to where you can donate: Zoo Story – Reinventing the American Zoo
The documentary still seems to be in production at the moment. That 9 minute video just seems to be a teaser.
Is this documentary based on the usa paperback about the zootampa at lowery park which suffered from past controversy.
