Post a photo of one or more of your favorite zoo t-shirts. The easiest way to photograph them may be to do what I did and just use a couple pieces of masking tape to attach them to a wall.

Mine are from Fossil Rim (cheetah), Phoenix Zoo (jaguar), American International Rattlesnake Museum (rattlesnake). As you can see from my photos, it is NOT necessary to iron them first! ;)

See if this thread can be revived. Got a bunch of shirts that I will upload a new one every few days. Accrued quite a few in the last year and in my lifetime. I will give the zoo, color (since on the gray bedspread the colors don’t stand out like they do in person, how comfortable they are, and material quality.

Start it off with one from my home zoo Omaha.

Zoo: Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium
Color: Navy Blue with Columbia Blue Lettering
    Comfort: A+
    Material Quality: A+

Zoo: Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari (Ashland, NE)
    Color: Royal Blue
    Comfort: A++
    Material Quality: A+

Sadly I think this shirt is discontinued. Got it in 2020, was no longer available in gift shop from when I went in 2021 so far.

    Zoo: Kansas City Zoo
    Color: Olive
    Comfort: B+
    Material Quality: A

At first this looked like the most unique shirt from Kansas City, then I started spotting some of these in other zoos throughout the year.

This is a pretty heavy duty shirt but the material isn’t as soft as most others I have. Noticed similar designs as this as a couple other zoos.

@MGolka Thanks for your posts, much appreciated. No offense to you, but I don't find any of these designs particularly appealing. It will be interesting to see what other people post.

In 2013 I visited ZooBotanico Jerez (Spain), which at the time had the only public display of Iberian lynx. They even promoted this with posters on the city bus (which I took from the train station to the zoo). I was hoping to buy an Iberian lynx t-shirt, but sadly they had none on offer in their small gift shop. Seems like a missed opportunity for them.

This September (2021) I will be spending two and a half days at Le Parc Des Felins (France) and will see if they have anything interesting. In my previous visits, however, nothing has piqued my interest and they just had generic mass-produced big cat shirts.

I am a fan of long sleeve t-shirts. Though I don't visit zoos much any more, here are a couple I have had for several years.

Great idea for a thread! T-shirts with zoo, aquarium, natural history museum, national park, national monument, and state park logos are all I really ever wear.

Here is this one from the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens in Palm Desert, Riverside County, California. The home zoo I grew up at.

And here is this one from the Belize Zoo, as you can see with a Central American tapir (Tapirus bairdii) on it.

All of these shirts are so rad. I haven't seen many good zoo shirts in person in a while.

Thank you for your interest. T-shirts with zoo, aquarium, natural history museum, and wilderness area logos are really all I ever wear. It is kind of like a military uniform for me.
