the Dutch name for red-legged seriema is kuifseriema which literally translated is crested seriema, so that will be why VC has written crested seriema!!
In England Seriemas were historically called Crested and Burmeister's. Red-legged and Black-legged are fairly recent. Seems to have crept in with the other changes like Andean Bears, Painted Dogs and Red-crowned Cranes...
In Mai and June already 2 males where born and on July 9 now a female Southern pudu has been born at Wuppertal .
Recently the 4 Grant zebra got company of 2 male West African pygmy goats which arrived from Augsburg Zoo. The plan is that these two males will mate with the females in the JuniorZoo. https://www.instagram.com/p/CHavIBICmG6/
The way the animal collection in Wuppertal is going leaves somethings to be desired. A case in point is to let zebra be accompanied by pygmy goats. In the last few years, the mammal collection in particular where this concerns hoof stock has been trimmed greatly and the bird species richness has been damaged beyond belief (from which it will never seem to recover).
