I am sure there are photos of this subspecies in the Australia Wildlife gallery. This is the main subspecies in eastern Australia (I know my photos of wild galahs I have uploaded are of this subspecies and I am sure there are many others).

Ok! Thank you for this information! I am not very good at recognizing subspecies, and many images had no subspecific label, I will now go and add this, if it can be edited in by a staff member.

I’m not trying to be mean, but this is exactly why these threads should be left to people who know what they are looking at. Anybody can go through the gallery and copy and paste images - that’s easy. Not everybody can work out which subspecies of galah is which. Certainly I can’t, which is why I have left these threads to the experts.

I think the main problem is that only mods can change older posts, so it's pretty much impossible for anyone else to "maintain" one of these threads.

No offense taken, I see exactly where you are coming from. I thought about this being a problem, though I do have a solution that may work. Instead of showcasing each and every subspecies, can it be possible to just list them, and put a picture of the species down?

It’s possible, but you’re consciously choosing to deliver a lower quality thread for a big and important order of birds. Why not just leave it to somebody with more knowledge? Surely it’s better to be done by whoever is most well-equipped for it?

After discussion between @ZooBinh and the moderators, he has stated that as he wants to continue this thread in his own way and doesn't want to change the style of each entry to fit a different standard and format, he is happy to allow this thread to be renamed to something more personal so that it does not clash with any future and more "official" Zoochat Photographic Guide.

So this thread is now merely "ZooBinh's Guide to Parrots" :)

Also, just an FYI to the forum. If I am to ever attempt doing an official thread ever again, I will do something that isn't so hard to find images of (so possibly just monotypic species) animals, it will be on an easier level. You have my word on this, and please use it against me if need be.

Careful what you wish for. I tried to do Crocodilia because a) I love that group, but also because b) I thought the group would be easy with so few subspecies, well boy was I wrong!

I am aware of that. Research will do me wonders! :p

EDIT: In short, I will be well prepared, unlike other times. e.g; Aquarium Cup, horrible fantasy zoo thread, and this thread (sorta?)

You're kidding me :p! I was scouring through the gallery for 10 minutes, and couldn't find a hint :p! It's a shame I don't have the time currently to add images. I'll have to figure something out when I get home from school.

Ten seconds searching the word "Goffin" - as in the more common name Goffin's Corella - produced twenty good photos of the species instantly :p and a similar search for the word "Ducorp" as in Ducorp's Corella produced about a dozen.
