As I thought, these were my first and last additions for the year. Although quite poor compared to some members, 81 it is! Definitely had a great time chasing passerines at both zoos though. :)

I'e had a poor year for passerines. Only 33. But if it had been owls or waterfowl, I would have done well (49 and 47 respectively)

I gave up on maintaining this a long time ago, but I had a brief burst of energy this morning so I looked at my notes and did some shoddy calculations. I added about 150 species after Switzerland, but we'll assume I made some mistakes and call it 135, so that would theoretically give me 215. Obviously this doesn't count, but since @CGSwans also seems to have dropped out we can compete for the slackers' cup.
Jurong turned out not to be the gold mine I'd hoped, especially Wings of Asia which gave me nowhere near the 40-50 Zooish suggested (although obviously at that point I'd seen almost 200 species in Europe). Artis was also a disappointment, according to my notes I didn't find a single new species there.
Next year I don't have any big collection based trips planned, so I probably won't compete in whatever challenge comes up.
    Happy New Year everyone!

I still have my notes, but admittedly haven't had the energy to sort them out (and lack the time today to do so). Suffice to say I'm many birds shy of Vision's total.

I must wonder how different my total would have been had I managed to do my trips to DWA, San Diego, Walsrode, Berlin. and Plzen this year as originally planned :p

You missed a couple of my posts, thylo ;)

Also, it doesn't change the order but I don't think I ever got around to adding theses species that Warsaw Zoo obtained/put on show mid-year, so for completeness:

    91) Yellow-fronted Canary (Serinus mozambicus)
    92) Red-collared Widowbird (Euplectes ardens)
    93) Cuban Grassquit (Phonipara canora)

I think in fairness I should insist Jayjds takes my place on the podium, as I didn't put in the effort they did with records.
