I wasn't going to play personally, but I decided to 'play along' so that I will know how it feels to be a competitor. Useful data and all that. I'm not going to be eligible to win, gain bonus or count as a completer, because I want to remain impartial and above the fray.

I'll say it now, the @devilfish post above has reminded me that I saw Brown bear at Wildplace (Stupid of me to forget, I know). As I haven't visited any zoos since (apart for work at Paignton), and didn't report any species for this zoo in my previous post.. I would assume that I'm not breaching the rules? If I am, I shall remove the species and points. I'll leave this to @FunkyGibbon to decide....

Yep - plenty. No guarantee on quality though. I'm on my way home now but there's a lot to do, so I'm afraid it'll be a while before I can go through this trip's photos.

The ID on ZTL is correct - however it still counts as Ovis orientalis for the purposes of this challenge :)

The easiest feature is the tail - but I can't even see a tail in the photo! In taurensis the tail is noticeably longer and broader, and most importantly it has a diagnostic black tip which xanthoprymnus lacks. Do any of your other photos show the tail?

From the original description of taurensis (elsewhere in the paper it was noted that - from the specimens they examined - the three species could be readily distinguished from one another just on external features):
"3.8.1.7. Diagnosis. More reddish dorsal pelage than S. xanthoprymnus from Anatolia and S. citellus from Thrace. Underside gray to white, similar to S. xanthoprymnus, but less yellow than S. citellus. Larger body size than S. citellus but similar to S. xanthoprymnus. Tail slightly shorter than in S. citellus but longer than in S. xanthoprymnus, and broader than in both species. Tail has a black tip that contrasts strongly with the remainder of the tail, which the other two species do not show."

Keeping one YWP spot open for now as it's an easy trip back later in the year and everything else I could put in I can think of an equal-or-better scoring option from other zoos.
