Today marks the 17th anniversary of the launch of ZooChat.

I was hoping to have the site ready for upgrade by now - but there's still quite a bit of work to do :(

I'm also way behind on the stats reports - haven't done the 2019 calendar year stats yet either.

Here is a short summary of our 17th anniversary stats to keep you going until I can get more done:

Wonderful site; personally, my favourite. It’s a great community, where everyone always seems to learn something. I’m very thankful to be here. :) Congratulations on 17 years @Simon Hampel.

Great site, some questionable decisions although everyone makes mistakes, overall great community and I hope that 17 years grows even more and this forum continues to flourish.

Wonderful news! This is my favorite website by a country mile! Truly one of the greatest places for zoo, animal, or conservation fans and enthusiasts. Congrats to 17 years and here’s hoping for 17 more.

ZooChat is an amazing site and some of those statistics are a bit surprising. Having only 27 members that have uploaded 50% of all media items is eyebrow-raising, along with the fact that 62 members have made 50% of all posts. Wow!

I'd be interested to see who those 62 members are. ZooChat hall of fame? :p

Look at the top bar: Forums, Media, Resources, Maps, Members. If you click on the last one, Members, you will get a list of who has made the most posts (and you can click another tab for most media, etc). I am surprised to see that my posts surpass even my friend @snowleopard . (However when it comes to media he has me beaten and clocks in at the number two position).

Given the fact you are one of the two primary culprits responsible for most of that 50% your eyebrows need not raise too high :p
