What is the scientific name given to the mongoose family?

A. Mungotidae
B. Viverridae
C. Herpestidae

 

I think it is Herpestidae

 

I do say that it is Herpestidae, so in my opinion C is the correct answer.

My answer has got to be the Brown Hyena, so once again the correct answer from me is C.

I looked it up and it says the largest population is in the Kalahari Desert.

Out of all of the members of the order Carnivora, which species spends the most amount of time in the water? (excluding pinnipeds)

A. Polar Bear
B. Sea Otter
C. Marine Otter

 

I think it is the sea otter.

 

I second that. Sea otters are specially adapted to live in water their whole lives if they need to. Many have never been observed on land.
