I know there is a thread for this in the general zoo dicussion forum, but are there any zoos that let their animals out of their exhibits to roam freely around zoo grounds? Not including birds because many zoos let birds free range. I know Brookfield Zoo lets their golden lion tamarins roam around the salt creek wilderness trail but the stay in a certain area where the keepers place their food. I asked a volunteer if they ever the area and they said that the first day that they were put outside the male went into one of the okapi exhibits which are just across from where their food is placed.
