Walsrode currently keeps 510 species, thus taking the lead. This calls for an apt triumphant German reaction:

Hello! in September I am going to visit this park. What species of hummingbirds could you see? In addition to these birds in zootierliste it puts that they have Lepus europaeus, Muscardinus avellanarius, Tichodroma muraria, Diademada Tanager and Stephanophorus diadematus. Did you see any? Thanks

    Visited it in November 2021.
The only hummingbirds on-show are : Amazilia and Sparkling Violetear.
The diademed tanager is visible in the Cock-of-the-rock aviary.
Didn’t get to see any Lepus, Muscardinus nor Tichodrome.

They still had 1.0 King BoP and 1.0 Lesser BoP.

Wilhelma Zoo Stuttgart has Persian Leopard, Jaguar, Cheetah, Asian Lion and Snow Leopard. They have had Sumatran Tigers until early 2021 and according to their Masterplan they want to Keep Amur Tigers in the Future.

    I was very surprised at the number of mongoose species at Axe Valley specifically the herpestids family;

    Yellow Mongoose
    Banded Mongoose
    Dwarf Mongoose
    Egyptian Mongoose
    Cusimanse
    Meerkat
    (6)

    Can anywhere else top this?

Reviewing ZTL, Plzen would beat it if the family included Malagasy mongoose species also.
Couldn't think of any other big rodent specialists to check...

Perhaps there is also reasonable diversity in private hands as well..

At some point Zie-Zoo in Volkel (Netherlands) kept 6 species of mongoose on display, with two more behind the scenes, plus one species of Malagasy mongoose. Since then three species have left the collection entirely so they're back to 5 + one Malagasy species (all on display)

Can any zoo beat MToxins Venom Lab's collection of 51 venomous snake snake species? I think they may actually have more than that, but 51 is all I saw on my visit today.

That should be about right for now. And since 86>51, I think I have answered your question, haven't I? ;)

Somehow forgot to mention SeaWorld has 5 cetacean species (Orca, Beluga, Bottlenose Dolphin, Common Dolphin, and Pilot Whale. Georgia Aquarium should have the highest elasmobranch/shark and ray collection.

They have one mixed in with their bottlenose Dolphins in the stadium, they also have a hybrid common/bottlenose.

I assume you mean San Diego, then? They don't have a common, just the hybrid.

Oh god can’t believe I forgot to mention which SeaWorld. Didn’t they have a pure common spinner or spotted Dolphin a few years back? A male named bullet or something like that.
