ZooChatters in the London area might be interested to note that the ZSL Scientific Meeting on Tuesday 21st February is on the subject of pangolin conservation. See the link below for details:- Saving pangolins: Earth's most trafficked wild mammals
Tim and/or any other Zoochatters, are you planning on attending this event? If so would you mind giving us a review of how it was? Any feedback that you have would be appreciated.
I I normally attend the ZSL Scientific Meetings; this one seems especially interesting so I definitely intend to be there. I will supply you with some feedback afterwards.
As promised, David, a few comments about this meeting; it was a very successful event. I normally attend the ZSL Scientific Meetings as they are always extremely interesting and enjoyable events. It is a long while since I have seen one so well attended. There were no spare seats in the Lecture Theatre so a crowd of people were standing at the back of the room and late-comers were denied access as the room was full to capacity. It is extremely encouraging that a talk about pangolin conservation generated so much interest and attracted so many people. Rather than me try to summarise three talks in a ZooChat post, I provide the link below:- Saving pangolins: Earth's most trafficked wild mammals If you access this link you should be able to hear recordings of the talks.
