Yes the pygmy hippos will leave the zoo, they allready found a place for them (and also for the rhinos). But with the build of the new gorilla house/exhibit the pygmy hippos will return to Zurich.

A major section of the zoo given over to a homestead themed corral with only two domestic species. Disappointing to say the least. If I was magically put in charge I would have opted for one large, natural grassland with Przewalski horses. And perhaps a rock crevice with pallas cats.

As an aside, are there any wild (not domestic) Bactrian camels in captivity anywhere?

That s a good proof for the quality of this zoo-building also excellent exhibits only for"common"animals-boring domestic Yaks and Bactrian camels. But what if the zoo had build it for wild yaks and wild bactrian camels?"Oh, My Godness-what a faboulus exhibit"

It will be interesting to learn what is planned for the top area (~1 ha) where currently there are merely "zebu". There also seems to be some sort of aviary or similar planned near the giraffe and rhino indoors. Hopefully the zoo will include more (and more attractive) mid- to small-sized enclosures and "minor" fauna than in previous projects.
