Durrell has managed to import a group of 5 Black Lion Tamarins direct from Brazil to restart the European breeding program. Until now the species was down to a single individual at Magderberg

The import was scheduled for some time now. Glad too Durrell managed the complex Brazil deal so well.

Wish more zoos were doing amazing work like this, active conservation efforts in the wild and establishing new backup populations.
