Auckland Zoo - Pridelands Plan 1996
Pridelands Plan 1996. This was an early plan of Auckland Zoo's African Savannah exhibit, printed on the back of the Auckland Zoo Map in 1996. It differs from the final design in a number of key ways: -Cranes were never imported. -The visitors path went between the lions and rhinos, not around the back of the lions. -The lion house was built on the opposite side of the enclosure. -No aviary was ever built. -The path crossed between the Hippo and Baboon enclosures, not through the hippo enclosure. This part "Hippo River" ended up also incorporating cheetah, servals and leopard tortoises.
