It does look like a marbled. They had Papuan frogmouths there in 2008 when I was there. Definitely not a tawny frogmouth though. (But marbleds and Papuans are much better birds anyway )

I've seen photos of Papuans with the orangey eyes with deeper outside rings so (assuming they are correctly identified!) they don't always have fully red or really dark orange eyes. Same as tawnies don't always have yellow eyes because I've seen photos of ones with bright orange (like the one in the lower photo of your link incidentally). When I was at Cairns the frogmouths they had were labelled as Papuans so that's what I have them down as (I'll be blowed if I can identify Papuans and marbleds just on basic appearance though!)
