Asian Elephant bull, Aung Bo has arrived from Seville today as a replacement for Upali... statement from Chester's facebook

"Here's the first pic of Asian bull elephant Aung Bo in his new home here at Chester Zoo. He has moved to come and play an important role in our great conservation breeding programme. Aung Bo is settling in and we'll let you know as soon as he goes out onto the main paddock to meet the girls!"

African elephants Bobo and Rascal were tuskers.

Did Chang not have Tusks? I've always assumed he did from people's comments about his magnificence!

He looks pretty impressive already, considering his age and the fact that his father isn't the the most impressive bull I've seen.

Naing Thein is also tuskless, but I don't know whether he genetically is, or has lost his tusks at some point.
