Hi, Does anyone know if there is anywhere online that I can access the European studbook for chimpanzees? Is it still coordinated by Twycross Zoo? I've been able to find the American studbook, but been unable to find the European one anywhere. The most recent one would be best, but one from the last couple of years would be ok as well. I don't know how often these things are updated and published? Thanks!
I downloaded the 2009 Chimpanzee studbook from the Copenhagen Zoo website earlier this year. Presumably it is still there. If not then I can email it to you as an attachment.
do you have the link for it as i can't seem to find the Copenhagen website in order to get the studbook off it
Here you go: http://www.zoo.dk/ForskningNaturbev...r/European_Studbook_Pan_troglodytes_2009.ashx Took me ages to find it too!
The fist captive breeding was in the private collection of Mme Abreu in Cuba on 27th April 1915. There was a birth in New York in 1920. Alan
Sorry to bring up an old thread but I've been trying to access the Chimp studbook but it just takes me the websites homepage. Is there any where else where I can find the studbook?
