A comment was made recently on the zoo thread regarding a picture of penguins once mixing with South American tapirs. I believe this may be the picture referred to. Credit: Milwaukee County Park Commission 1973

      That was me that made the comment and yes, that was the picture I was referring too. I remember seeing this image as a kid and not be able to comprehend having tapirs and penguins together in the same pool. I can say this was the book that got me interested in zoo history.
