Do they hand-rear this chick or grows it under its parents? Do they breed regularly in Leningrad?
    • woolyrat
Yes, they were breeding regularly till the mail's death in 2006. This chick was the last one and unfortunately it has dead soon after I made this picture.

      Dear Sir
We write from Peru to ask you a query. At this time we are working on a book about the Andean Condor (Vultur gryphus) in Peru. You can see our web page in: https://sites.google.com/site/aicbperu/.
In the first part we are including a description of the species and we would like to include a photo of a condor chick. We saw your photo and we liked it. Could you allow us please to use this photo in our book? Your name would be placed under it.
Thank you very much for your attention.
      Greetings from Peru.
