Do the Bactrian Camels share the same night-time accommodation as the Asian Elephant(s)? The design of the small moated paddocks is obviously outdated, but I wonder if the zoo will eventually expand the enclosures so that perhaps one species can have the entire area to itself.
Camels and elephant have their enclosures in the same building. Until zoo is allowed to expand there is no space for bigger enclosures.
Is this the former bull elephant enclosure? And if yes, is it in a state to hold a full grown bull elephant now? Do you know the space in m2 inside and outside?
Sorry I don't know, I'm not zoo employee... All the information I have are from official zoo site. I would estimate elephant enclosure - 400-500m2, for camels 200-250m2, inside enclosures 2 x 60-70m2...
