bark scorpion (wild)

March 27, 2021, evening opening

bark scorpion (wild)

This March (2021) they stayed open until 9pm on Saturdays. I took this on the last Saturday of the month, using a black light flashlight (aka torch to those of you who speak British English). It is a non-captive specimen in the cracks between the low rock wall that lines the butterfly garden. Scorpions are routinely found on this wall and regular visitors know to look here during the evening openings.
