      On a friends face book page, it was at the zoo about 5 years ago a much bigger photograph but haven't seen it for a couple of years now.

      They look like Shetland ponies.


      Going by the buildings it looks like this photo was taken from inside the zoo, the photographer standing near the current flamingo enclosure.

      Yes they are Shetland Ponies and it does look like it's inside the zoo grounds and not from the main road as it says on the face book page.
      It would be nice to see more pictures from the very early days of the zoo.
