This is certainly a very pretty, naturalistic enclosure, but is the photo deceiving? The exhibit is certainly better than the vast number of crappy snow leopard enclosures that dot the zoo landscape throughout North America.
Yes this is a nice enclosure, this zoo also has another Snow leopard exhibit in the Carnivore Kingdom area which is smaller and rockier but still quite nice.
These are a stark contrast to how bad the cat enclosures were for so long. I was very suprised on my first visit to this zoo. Just how small and boring for both animal and the public the exhibits were. Yet the zoo seemed to hold a very diverse cat collection. 1 after another in a long row of cages!
