The shot that was taken on the hardstanding is also him, as the striping pattern is the same. (note the two long stripes midbody which cross over to form an elongated 'x')

Great! Let's hope for more success than he had at Paignton.
    • Pertinax
He hasn't got a hill to climb here- that might help!

But Paignton have bred Hartmann's before haven't they, from a different male?
    • Gigit
Yes, they have and Tara, one of the females, was born at Paignton in 2002.
I've had a quick look through my assorted records and in 2004 they had 0.3 zebra, Bingo arrived in 2006, in 2007 there were 2 female deaths, and female Goma arrived in 2008. Goma and Tara are currently awaiting a new male.

I remember seeing that one as a foal.

Do you know what happened to her father- died or transferred ?
    • Gigit
No - unfortunately there's a hole in my data.
    • Gigit
Just done some research. He was Nakuru (studbook number 1742) born in Berlin 1995, transferred to Paignton 1997, transferred to Marwell 2002, died 2004.
    • Pertinax
Marwell have not had a male for six years then as there definately hasn't been one during this period. Interesting two males have followed the same 'route' via Paignton to here- but lets hope 'Bingo' lasts longer than 2 years.
