A single spectacled owl, a Eurasian eagle owl and a raven are the trio of birds that have been in these aviaries for what seems like years, but on my latest visit there was a sign up saying that the birds had moved to off-exhibit enclosures next to the Wild Wonders Outdoor Theater. I wonder if the zoo will finally demolish this structure? All of the browse and quite a few of the logs have been removed and I seriously hope that a bulldozer makes an appearance as these mini-aviaries are an eyesore in between the new Red Wolf Woods pair of habitats and the Arctic Tundra section of the zoo. Also, the aviaries are no longer listed on the zoo map, which is an ominous sign for their future.
