      Were these in with other waterfowl species? I have heard they can be aggressive.

      Yes they were. With agressive species in mixed exhibits, they only integrate single sexes into the enclosures as alot of agression is due to breeding season tensions, the same is true of mallard types. The breeding birds are kept off display in single species enclosures.
