Do the chimps have access to the grassy area behind? or just that rockwork structure? If so that is very small, and where is the housing?
It's just that little concrete island. I don't think there is any housing, but as you can see there is a tunnel leading through the structure, which could offer shelter if needed. It's a pretty sad attempt at a naturalistic exhibit.
If the chimpanzees do not have access to anything in the background then that "exhibit" is atrociously small.
From what I gather, only two chimpanzees are kept on the island. There have also been reports that a female chimpanzee drowned in the moat a couple of years ago - I mention this island as one of the real issues of the safari park in my review.
