Common Black Hawk
The most common hawk species in Costa Rica, I saw them in Tortuguero, Sierpe and here in Bahia Drake. This individual attacked a perched bare-throated tiger heron, but barely missed it and then took its place in the tree. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
