I like snakes, but for some reason legless lizards really creep me out.

I always get Chamber of Secrets, basilisk vibes from legless lizards.

The first wild reptile I ever saw was a slow worm (Britain has a very limited reptile fauna) so I love legless lizards. They just look so much more intelligent and aware of their surroundings than snakes do.

Ha, I just watched this (yesterday) and I agree that the basilisk looks very much like a Sheltopusik (especially the head).
