      Why house the griffon vultures in pairs? They often live in large groups in both the wild and zoos, and most importantly a group is an ideal way of forming pairs by offering several possible partners.

      Ah, but the zoo has already figured out the pairs that work best and tried to prompt breeding by putting them together. I didn't have space to include the Off-show third aviary for the third pair but there is one. From time to time the vultures would be reunited altogether in the first aviary.
